Apple Oatmeal Cookies you’ll love

Apple Oatmeal Cookie

Hey ladies. I’ve been cooking up some new fall dessert recipes and these apple oatmeal cookies you’ll love, now and for years to come. They are chewy and the chopped apples make them soft even right out of the refrigerator. You will not be able to get enough of these cookies.

Apple Oatmeal Cookie with Caramel

These cookies remind me of a fall morning with my cup of tea (I do not drink coffee). Many recipes I sample and pass them on. This apple oatmeal cookie, I must admit made me a little stingy with sharing. They did not make it out of the house.

I’m going to show you how to make these exact cookies right now. Now, unlike most Dessert Makeovers Recipes, this is a recipe from scratch. But don’t worry, it’s quick and easy and I’m going to walk you through each step.

Ingredients for your Apple Oatmeal Cookie

For this recipe, you are going to need:

-Old Fashioned oats

-Flour, salt, baking powder

-Sugar, Eggs, Vanilla, Butter, Cinnamon, nutmeg

-Granny Smith Apple

You want to start by chopping your Granny smith apple in cubes, not too big but not too small either. You want each cookie bite to have a little cookie in it. Sprinkle your apples with a pinch of cinnamon, this is to ensure that the cinnamon is bursting all the way through the cookie.

Next, you want to get a large bowl and mix the softened butter. The butter should not be melted but soft. You will add the vanilla next, and stir. This recipe calls for 2 eggs, mix the eggs with your butter and vanilla.

Vanilla to the butter

Now it’s time for you to add the flour, salt, and baking powder. In the same bowl, add the brown sugar (make sure the brown sugar isn’t lumped together), white sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Anddddd, finally the old fashion oats. Take your mixer and mix the batter for at least 3 minutes. Your batter should be of a thick cookie mix – mixture.

Cinnamon Flour

Next, you will fold your fresh apple cubes into the mixture. Some people add lemon juice. I did not add lemon juice to the apples and the apples in the cookie did not turn brown.

Adding apples to the oatmeal mixture

Now, get your baking sheet and take about 2 tablespoons of the cookie mixture, and roll it in a ball. Note the apples may want to come out, not a problem just press the apples on the cookie.

This is a large cookie recipe that will make 24 medium to large cookies.
