Have you ever been asked to bring a dish to a party, but not sure what to take? You don\u2019t have time to cook something, but you want your dessert to stand out and impress others. I have something that may do the trick. What about store bought pound cake with a twist. You can dress this dessert up with all kinds of toppings and believe me, it will be the pound cake to take to the party.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will need a store-bought pound cake and a few toppings!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Store Bought Pound Cake<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pick your chocolate and toppings. Some examples would be crushed Oreos, caramel bites, chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc. The choices are limitless. If I had to do it over again, I would choose only the melted chocolate, the pecans, and caramel drizzle (this variation received the most compliments). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before you get started, you will need to place your cake in the freezer for at least 20 minutes, the longer the better. You will need to work fast once you start dipping the cake in the chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, prepare your toppings by chopping them and putting them in a cup or laying them on parchment paper as I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next melt your chocolate or caramel, whatever, you choose to use. I used chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now slice your cake, it will be frozen. Now your cake slices will need to be thick, no thin slices here. Cut each slice about 1 \u00bd i- 2 inches thick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dip in chocolate, add to your baking sheet and add your toppings (pick what may be pleasing to you or the crowd). I used what I had around the house. But as I mentioned earlier. The fan favorite was the melted chocolate, chopped pecans and caramel drizzle. You can use the same topping for each sliced pound cake or, you can use something totally different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you dip the cake in chocolate, you will place each piece on the parchment paper and drizzle with your toppings let the chocolate harden before moving the cake pieces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: You don\u2019t want the exposed pound cake to become hard so you will want to make this right before the party and wrap it tightly with saran wrap or similar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
