Here it is, Memorial Day Weekend, and I received a call from a very unhappy vacationer. Their Manzanita home rental had been double booked, and they were the sad guests who had to find alternate accommodations on a very busy holiday weekend.<\/p>\n
As we were solidly booked, I helped as best I could with alternative places they could look for lodging.<\/p>\n
While I don\u2019t know who this beleaguered guest originally booked through, I wrote this post in order to help others in their search for great Manzanita Oregon lodging. The best part of my work is helping travelers have great vacations.

I\u2019m Kim Bergstrom, and our beachfront rentals on Manzanita beach is an extension of my father\u2019s dream of one day owning a beachfront vacation home. After serving in WWII he attended nearby Pacific University, found his perfect dream spot of his vacation home here in Manzanita and built it in 1960. I grew up spending idyllic weekends and summers running barefoot around the area, solidifying my love of Manzanita.<\/p>\n So much that my husband Eric and I married in our yard on the beach, and later took over the house as my father retired. Wanting to share our wonderful experience with others, we turned our family vacation home into a Manzanita home rental. This was long before VRBO, HomeAway, Airbnb, and other megaliths caught the eye of eager vacationers.<\/p>\n Our specialty has grown into remodeling beachfront \u00a0Manzanita house rentals to respect and enhance their original intent. Since we have our own accommodations, I can\u2019t give you my personal experience. Several have been in business for years, and some come and go.\u00a0Manzanita Rentals,\u00a0Sunset Vacation Rentals, and\u00a0OceanEdge Manzanita Vacation Rentals\u00a0are amongst the oldest, although\u00a0OceanEdge Manzanita Vacation Rentals\u00a0was recently purchased by\u00a0Sunset Vacation Rentals.<\/p>\n Manzanita Beach Getaway Rentals\u00a0and\u00a0Beach Break Vacation Rentals\u00a0are both fairly new, with\u00a0Manzanita Beach Getaway Rentals\u00a0recently relocating from Nehalem to Manzanita, and\u00a0Beach Break Vacation Rentals\u00a0still located in Nehalem.<\/p>\n Starfish Luxury Rentals\u00a0is also fairly new, and not located in the Manzanita area but does list two Manzanita rental houses.<\/p>\n Vacasa\u00a0has included Manzanita houses in listings and are not\u00a0located on the coast.<\/p>\n What I can offer is that Manzanita business people\u00a0are hard-working and trying their best to help, especially in the busy summer season. Be as specific as possible regarding what type of accommodation you\u2019re looking for. Many travelers are diehard fans of particular sites which has served them well.<\/p>\n It\u2019s also important to be aware of what you\u2019re being charged to use your favorite site. All\u00a0of these sites now charge guest fees. There\u2019s a limited amount of land to be developed, situated between\u00a0Oswald West State Park\u00a0and\u00a0Neahkahnie Mountain\u00a0to the north, and\u00a0Nehalem Bay State Park\u00a0to the south.<\/p>\n
